At the Prayer Furnace, we maintain that the Scripture clearly proclaims God to be a Healer. One of the seven redemptive Names of God is Jehovah Rapha (Ex. 15:26) which means "God who is the Healer." Jesus demonstrated this reality during His earthly ministry,
Matt. 4:23 "And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people."
We believe that healing, which is a demonstration of the love and mercy of God, will regularly manifest in the midst of worship and intercession. In fact, the atmosphere of worship and prayer is highly conducive to an individual's experiencing the miracle power of God.
The "healing room" is a specific room that is staffed with trained personnel who operate as a team to minister the love and power of God to individuals seeking healing.
The healing room provides an opportunity for concentrated personal ministry in a manner that would be difficult to provide in a corporate meeting. Through spiritual gifts, the team is empowered by the Holy Spirit to minister the grace of healing to the seeker, taking a systematic approach that is both effective and comforting.
